Zoom 3048 External Data/Fax Modem

The 3048 is a high-performance 56K fax modem that plugs into the serial port of any computer. Both Windows and Macintosh fax/modem software is included. The model 3048 performance is enhanced by an on-board Controller, DSP (Digital Signal Processor) and ITU V.92/V.44 standard compatibility. Robust power handling features make this modem suitable for unattended remote applications. Those features include advanced power handling to protect against brownouts and power glitches that can freeze other modems, and ZoomGuard Lightning Protection. Other features include Extended Status Reporting with seven indicator lights, a high-quality monitor speaker, and a heavy-duty on/off switch.
